We need your help to support the many vulnerable young people caring for a parent with a mental illness. There’s no end to the ways you can fundraise for Our Time. In the past people have skydived and even trekked the Sahara Desert, but it doesn’t need to be quite as extreme – unless you want a challenge! Even small events to raise funds like sponsored walks or bake sales help to make a big difference.
All you need to do is decide what kind of event or fundraising activity you want to hold.
We’re a registered charity on Facebook, so you can quickly and easily set up a fundraiser to collect donations for Our Time via social media.
We’re in the process of setting up a JustGiving page for Our Time where it will be easy to create and promote your page, tell your story and get sponsors. JustGiving also pays the money directly into Our Time’s account after your activity has finished, so it will making the process easy.
It’s worthwhile raising awareness of what you’re doing, be that on social media, posters or face-to-face. If you are using social media, make sure you add our Twitter handle (@ourtimecharity), or post on our Facebook page and we can help to promote what you are doing.
Please do share your photos from the day with us – we love to see what you’re up to and we can advertise your event through our networks. We also get an opportunity to say thanks for your hard work.
