On Wednesday 17th October 2018, Our Time launched its ‘Being Seen and Heard’ campaign and petition at the House of Commons, calling for recognition and support for the then estimated 3.7 million children and young people affected by parental mental illness.
Sponsored by Dr Lisa Cameron MP, Luciana Berger MP and Norman Lamb MP, the event was very well attended by politicians, policymakers and many others from groups and organisations with a shared interest in ensuring these children and young people are seen and heard.
We are grateful to our patrons, Alastair Campbell and Ade Adepitan, for their support, and to our wonderful speakers who represented us so eloquently.
We continue working towards our aim of ensuring this ‘at risk’ group are recognised within public policy and funding frameworks.
Please sign our petition and continue the momentum started at this fantastic event that has been continuing to this day. You can also spread the word about the campaign on social media using #BeingSeenAndHeard, and if you haven’t already seen our campaign video you can watch it on YouTube.
