Our Time secures funds from Schroder to help the hidden carers in our schools

We were delighted to receive the news this week that we have successfully secured funding from Schroder Charity Trust.

The Schroder fund will help us to develop our online training for the many professionals who are working with children, in a wide variety of settings. This project is in partnership with UCL and Institute of Education and will use the Future Learn platform which is an open-access, global digital learning platform, accessible to all professionals and the public.

Children and young people affected by parental mental health issues have suffered more than most during lockdowns and many of the supports they used to depend on are no longer available. Schools have had to fill the gap, which means they need easy access to specialist training to equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to support the children and young people who are struggling with family pressures and their own heightened stress levels.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Schroder for their generous grant and we look forward to expanding our work in schools to ensure young people build the resilience they so desperately need and know that they are not alone.
