Our Time’s podcast in the news

A crucial opening up of the discussion

My Family, Mental Illness… and Me featured in the Guardian

We were delighted to see our first podcast series reviewed in the Guardian by columnist Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett. The article stressed the importance of addressing the issue of parental mental illness and the challenges it can bring for children. It also highlighted the excellent and ongoing efforts of Our Time in supporting these young people.

Nearly three hundred comments were made by readers of the article, many sharing their own experience of having a parent with a mental illness. We continue to work to give these people a voice, and hope our podcast will provide comfort and community to all those affected.

Our podcast host Dr Pamela Jenkins was also interviewed for the Sunday Herald in Scotland.

And one of our podcast guests Kayleigh Llewellyn was on BBC Radio Scotland along with Pamela talking about the podcast and their own childhood experiences of parental mental illness.
