On Thursday, 20th June 2019, Our Time is running a one-off workshop on the topic of parental mental illness in partnership with the London Borough of Newham. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together people from across the Newham system to consider the scale and challenge of parental mental illness locally and to share thinking and ideas about what’s needed to better support families in this situation.
This event is part of a research project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund to help us to build up a better picture of the needs of children and families affected by parental mental illness in Newham and Tower Hamlets. We are inviting partners from across social care, health, education and the voluntary community and faith sectors to share their views and experiences as local experts.
We will use feedback and information gathered from the event to apply for funding to establish Our Time projects, such as KidsTime Workshops, in Newham and Tower Hamlets, to offer support to affected children and families in these boroughs.
If you work with or represent the interests of children and families in Newham or Tower Hamlets, we invite you to join the discussion!
